There are almost 44 million Americans who are taking care of an older adult at any given time.  The first step in finding help and information about caring for a senior in Waukesha County, Wisconsin is to contact the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Waukesha County at 262-548-7848 or 866-677-2372.

 Hours of operation:

There are four kinds of people in the world:

Those who have been caregivers.

Those who currently are caregivers.

Those who will be caregivers.

And those who will need caregivers.

Are You a Caregiver?

  • Do you provide direct care to someone as bathing, feeding, dressing, supervision or any other type of care?
  • Do you provide supportive care such as giving rides, calling or stopping in to check on someone, delivering meals?
  • Do you feel concerned that someone you know isn't taking care of him or herself?
  • Do you feel concerned that a caregiver you know is struggling and needs help?

Caregiving can be rewarding, but it can also be hard.   Caregivers may supply emotional support, physical assistance, financial assistance, and many other types of care.  Caregivers often exhaust themselves by trying to handle caregiving responsibilities on top of normal daily routines.  The Caregiver Connection provides information, support and resources to people who need help caring for a family member, friend, or neighbor.
